Location: Cafe in Vinh Long, a town in the Mekong Delta

Today’s Activities: We took a day trip to the Mekong Delta, so we set out on the bus at 8:00 this morning and arrived to Cai Be around 10:30. From there we boated on the Mekong River, then visited a workshop where they basically made rice krispie treats from scratch (starting with popping the rice in a big wok over the fire). We had a lovely lunch sitting with our new German friends and a guy from Toronto. The Germans were on the tour with us to the Cu Chi tunnels yesterday, and now we’re officially invited to stay with them when we ski.
Health Report: I barfed up my lunch last night after killing Farmer the whole bus ride home with nasty bus-sick MSG-laden burps. I had a monster headache, and Farmer wasn’t in much better shape. So we went to bed at 7:00. Amazingly we feel totally recovered today! Hooray!
